The Friends of the Flathead Snowmobile Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports the Flathead Snowmobile Association.
We exist for two primary reasons:
One example of how we use your donations is to support the FSA's efforts to expand our influence in safety training for members. This year, we've sponsored members for the January Level 1 Avalanche Training with half or full scholarships.
Another example of why we exist is to apply for other grant opportunities as a non-profit organization. Many grants that are available are only available to qualified non-profits. An example of this is our successful award from Flathead Electric's Roundup for Safety grant. We will be supporting more students taking Level 1 Avalanche training (March 2020 and later). Thank you FEC and we encourage our members to take part in the Roundup for Safety program where they round up bill to the nearest dollar.

- Offer a path for the public to make charitable donations that are tax deductible.

TRANS-MONTANA CHARITY RIDE
Every year we support the Trans Montana with a donation or hosting activity if the ride comes to town.
We hosted the kick-off of the Trans Montana Charity Ride in January of 2021 here in the Flathead! Due to Covid, we had to cancel our benefit/awards banquet, but we pressed forward with the riders coming up and we showed them a good ride. We also made every effort to do our part in helping the Trans Montana to raise money for NAMI Montana. To that end, the FFSA set up a Sweepstakes and an online auction which collectively raised over $3000. Thank you to all who participated!!!
NAMI works extra hard providing support to Veterans issues like PTSD as well as teen suicide prevention here in Montana. Sadly, Montana ranks #1 in teen suicides in the nation. Help us help NAMI and you'll be making a difference right here at home. Every dollar raised stays in Montana.
And if you're a rider, you're invited to join us for a day or two OR the entire ride. It's an amazing week of riding across some of Montana's best places to ride!

We are also seeking to create foundation fund that would allow the Friends of the FSA to support the FSA's efforts in perpetuity. To that end, we are seeking donors that will add us to their estate planning and help us create a fund that will free us from having to rely solely on government grants for most trail maintenance activities. Your philanthropy can be a powerful tool to help us maintain all the trails and positive activities that the FSA has been doing for over 25 years in the Flathead Valley! We would deeply appreciate your support in getting our fund established.
